The Polish owners in Cracow have plans to increase their investment to upwards of £65-million and eventually double the workforce to 300.

Initially, around a third of the 156 employees have been recruited from the UK, but the foundations have been laid for a second production line which will use exclusively local labour.

Specialists have been drafted in from Poland to man the present line on a 24/7 basis, working daily 12-hour shifts on a three days on, three days off basis.

Mr Laszcz said: "For the next stage we will recruit exclusively in the UK and the workers will undertake training on the site."
