Fortis Media Group the main and exclusive media patron of “12 Cities” project.
Polish Express, Panorama, Discover Poland and Polacy.co.uk are now media patrons of the project.
Polish Express and Panorama weekly newspapers, Discover Poland Magazine and networking website Polacy.co.uk are now media patrons of the project, organised by Poland Street. During the project, Polish migrants meet with authorities from different cities in Poland to discuss what opportunities they will have back in Poland and to ask their question or submit any ideas.
Fortis Media’s titles will be the principal media patrons as of 16 March 2009. The previous media patron was Goniec Polski magazine.
“The idea behind the “12 Cities Project: Come back? But where? Let’s talk about facts”, where each month Polish migrants meet with the authorities from different Polish cities, is to provide those who are considering returning to Poland with all the necessary information about the job market, investment and business opportunities in any given region” says Jacek Winnicki, President of Poland Street. “People ask themselves a question: Where should I go back to? We would like to help them get an answer” he adds.
Since the launch of the project, authorities and companies from two Polish cities - Szczecin and Poznan – have visited London. As Poland Street stresses, the project is not about advising Poles to return, it is more about making sure that they are informed, before they make the decision to leave the UK.
Poland Street is a place for debate and discussion between Polish City Authorities and Polish migrants living in the UK, and provides up-to-date business information from specific cities and regions. They are a one-stop destination for all information regarding returning home. It is then up to the Polish migrants to make the vital decision of whether to return to their homeland or to stay in Great Britain.
