Discover Poland magazine celebrates its first birthday
Discover Poland, the unique monthly magazine promoting Poland as the perfect place to visit...
Discover Poland, the monthly magazine that showcases the best of Poland, celebrates its first birthday in March 2009.
Published by Fortis Media Ltd in co-operation with the Polish National Tourist Office, Discover Poland inspires its readers to explore Poland by highlighting different aspects of travel and tourism, including cultural activities, spa resorts and winter sports. Each month it focuses on a different city in Poland, providing valuable travel tips for popular destinations such as Gdańsk, Kraków and Warsaw as well as places that are slightly off the beaten track. In addition to travel and tourism, Discover Poland provides insight into business in Poland with articles on current topics such as professional qualifications, property and relocation, as well as interviews with businessmen who have either moved to Poland, or have identified investment opportunities there. A panel of experts from different industries also provides insight into specific sectors in Poland every month.
Discover Poland is available at numerous outlets across the United Kingdom and Poland, including hotels, airport lounges and business centres. It is also distributed at conferences and seminars that focus on doing business in Poland.
Discover Poland was launched as a 32 page glossy magazine in March 2008, however it rapidly developed into an 80 page glossy magazine within six months. Speaking from Fortis Media Ltd’s office in London, Alison Hope, Editor of Discover Poland said, “Discover Poland aims to inspire people to visit what is arguably the most fascinating country in Europe. It captures the essence of Poland with a combination of interesting articles and stunning photography, and as there are so many aspects of Poland, there really is no shortage of content.”
Discover Poland magazine is the first English language title in the portfolio of Fortis Media Ltd, the largest Polish language publisher in the United Kingdom. Speaking of Discover Poland, Tomasz Kmiecik, Managing Director and Founder of Fortis Media Ltd, said, “Discover Poland provides an excellent platform for businesses in Poland to attract visitors from the United Kingdom and Ireland. The magazine has developed very quickly in its first twelve months, and we have received some excellent feedback from both our advertisers and our readers. We plan to develop the Discover Poland brand further in the next 12 months, and apply it to other projects, such as an interactive portal, a series of guides and directories, and also events in both London and Warsaw”.
